Chigomma Child Foundation is a charity which was founded in January 2026 by Veronique Enyinnaya. With the help of family and friends, she wanted to help children from disadvantaged families within the communities she has lived in or is currently living in.

Every child, regardless of their ability and background, has a future ahead of them. By ensuring all children have what they need in order to access education, they can have access to future opportunities.

Bridging the gap from poverty to potential. Children are the life of the community and the future of our nations. Our mission is to tackle the financial barriers which prohibit disadvantaged children from accessing education and to nurture a culture of learning and thriving.

Persistent school absence increases the likelihood of being out of education, training and employment as a young adult.

Children from low/no-income families tend to have a lower attendance in school despite having the potential to excel academically, and otherwise.

In developing cities around the world, low-income families are increasingly forced to live in informal settlements due to the high cost of living in such places.

Financial pressures as well as being exposed to other social factors (poverty, crime, unsanitary conditions etc) can create a barrier to children accessing education, thus continuing a generational cycle.

We want to ensure the children in these families are not overlooked but given a chance to thrive.
